How to Enter a Lotus Exige

This guide explains how to enter a Lotus Exige, based on the entertaining demonstration in the video: it is a two-step process that requires coordination. A common mistake is to think that the handle works like that of a normal car. On the flush handle, there is a button: the first move is to press it inwards. At this stage, do not pull the handle. While holding the button, grasp the entire handle and pull it towards you. The door will open. It is complicated due to the aerodynamic design: the flush handle is designed to be as streamlined as possible and reduce aerodynamic drag, and it also helps prevent accidental door opening. Exiting can also be a challenge! Grasp the upper edge of the door with one hand and use it as leverage to lift yourself up, rather than simply pushing the door from a seated position.
