Replacing an oil filter is generally straightforward, although it is always advisable to do it with the car raised for practicality. There are also cases where additional precautions are necessary, like this one. After removing the plastic cover and raising the car, you will find the filter: first, drain the engine oil, then, using the appropriate tool, unscrew the filter without removing it completely; in this case, there is a central screw on the filter to unscrew. Do this to allow the oil to drain. Once done, you can remove it completely. Replace the bolt seal and fit the new filter. Screw everything back on, including the cap and filter, and add the engine oil.
