Changing Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Mercedes Classe C W202 - Years 1993-2000

Lift the vehicle and secure it with appropriate supports to prevent it from falling. The necessary tools are a ratchet wrench, a set of open-end wrenches, an oil cartridge, a drain pan, and a filter removal tool. Start by removing the protective cover of the oil pan by unscrewing the four bolts. Position the drain pan under the engine to collect the oil. Unscrew the oil cap on the oil pan and let it drain. Using a square wrench and the appropriate tool, unscrew the filter and remove the cartridge. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one, but first clean the inside of the filter, then reinstall the filter. Also, replace the copper gasket of the oil cap and that of the filter. Close the oil cap, reinstall the oil filter, and refill with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to designated collection centers.
