Replacing a damaged thermostat on a Mercedes C-Class? Let's see how to do it. We open the front hood, remove the hose clamps as shown in the video. We disassemble the pump (we use a socket wrench with relative bushes) and remove it. We unscrew the screws of the thermostat cover. We remove the sealing cap and extract the thermostat from inside the engine compartment. Once the piece has been removed, replace it with a new one, close the special compartment with the cap, tighten the locking pins well with all its parts. Make sure that you have correctly inserted and mounted the thermostatic valve in the appropriate housing. We mount the pump and the belt.

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother.
