Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Mercedes Classe C W202 - Years 1993-2000

Lift the vehicle on suitable car ramps or position it over a service pit to access the oil pan. Open the hood and locate the oil filter container: it is on the front right, near the power steering fluid reservoir; use the appropriate socket wrench to unscrew the cap and remove the filter cartridge, taking it out of its mount and inserting the new one while replacing the O-ring seals included in the package. Next, remove the splash shield and unscrew the drain plug from the oil pan, collecting the oil in a suitable container; screw the plug back in when finished, reattach the splash shield and the oil filter. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the owner's manual.
