Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Engine oil
Operation: Engine oil change and filter replacement

It is advisable to carry out this operation with the engine warm as the oil is more fluid and comes out better and faster. To begin, lift the car from the driver's side and position a support stand in compliance with safety regulations. Once the hood is open, remove the engine oil filler cap. Using the special tool, unscrew and remove the oil filter. Take the filter out of its holder. As a rule, the gaskets are also supplied together with the filter and it is therefore advisable to replace them, lubricating them with a little oil before reassembling them. Place a container under the car and let the used oil out by unscrewing the nut located on the side opposite to the one we raised, in order to facilitate the exit of the oil to be replaced. Once all the oil has been removed, screw the nut back on. Reinsert the filter in its seat, tightening it first with your hands and finally with the special tool without forcing too much. Remove the kickstand and lower the car. Introduce the quantity of oil foreseen by the manufacturer, shown in the user manual, without ever exceeding it since you always have time to add but it becomes complicated if you exceed. Screw the oil cap back on. Turn on and let the engine run for a few minutes. Turn it off and wait a few minutes. To check the level, turn the key by turning on the ignition and using the buttons on the steering wheel, look for the oil level option on the display. According to the instructions, start the engine and wait for the oil level to be checked on the display. Car Model: Mercedes W203 c Series Tools Required: Cartridge Filter Plier, Socket Wrench.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
