Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

If the engine does not start and the check engine light illuminates on the dashboard, check the trouble codes in the engine control unit: the diagnosis indicates a fault related to a malfunction of the camshaft position sensor. If this sensor does not provide the correct information about the camshaft position to the control unit, it cannot manage the correct fuel injection sequence, preventing the engine from starting. Replacing this sensor is straightforward as it is located at the front left of the engine (when viewed from the front), near the intake manifold, just below the valve cover. Simply disconnect the connector, remove the mounting bolt, and pull the sensor out of its housing.
