How to replace the engine oil filter on a Mini? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement: open and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Using a socket spanner, undo the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the central ventilation grille to access the filter; extract the worn oil filter and position a new one. Lift the car on a jack and undo the bolt of the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Finally, top up with new fluid and close the front bonnet.
