How to Remove the EGR Valve on an Opel Astra

Let's see how to remove and clean the EGR valve on an Opel Astra. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then, using a socket wrench, unscrew the battery hold-down bolts and remove the battery from the engine bay. Remove the engine soundproofing panel and start unscrewing the EGR valve fastening bolts (as shown in the video). Once the part is removed from its seat, unscrew the screws present on it with a screwdriver. Clean the valve using a suitable product for cleaning mechanical parts, and use a brush to assist with the process. Once the part is restored, assemble the pieces together. Finally, refit the EGR valve in the engine bay.
