How to Reset the Engine Oil Light on an Opel Astra

To reset the engine oil light on an Opel Astra, first turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Use the controls on the steering wheel to access the menu of the onboard computer display. Scroll through the options until you reach the section dedicated to vehicle information or maintenance. Once you find the entry related to the oil change or service, select it. At this point, press and hold the "OK" or confirm button until the system requests the reset and confirms it on the screen. After a few seconds, the procedure will be completed and the maintenance interval will be updated. Finally, turn off and then turn on the instrument panel to verify that the oil light has been correctly reset.
