Let's see how to remove the damaged EGR valve from the engine bay of the Insignia. Lift the bonnet and secure it, then, using a socket wrench, unscrew the battery hold-down bolts and remove it from the engine bay. Start by unscrewing the securing bolts of the EGR valve.

Once the part is removed from its seat, use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on it for thorough cleaning. Begin cleaning the valve with a suitable product for cleaning mechanical parts, using a brush to assist with the process.

Once the part has been restored, assemble the pieces together. Connect all the parts to the EGR valve and carry out the installation.
