Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

To carry out the oil and filter change, position the vehicle on suitable car ramps (do not seek makeshift solutions like those shown in the video) to facilitate access to the sump; then locate the drain plug situated just behind the oil sump and unscrew it, collecting the used oil in a suitable container; next to the sump, near the catalyst, you will find the oil filter, which can be unscrewed using a strap wrench or a socket wrench; apply oil to the gasket of the new filter and screw it on without exceeding the tightening torque; finally, fill the engine with new oil until reaching the maximum level.
