Location of the control unit of the Peugeot 308 1.6 HDi MK2

The Peugeot 308 we see in this video is a 2014 MK2 version and is a 1.6 HDi. The ECU is a Siemens-Continental and is located inside the engine compartment, between the battery and the air intake. It is fixed in place by four bolts. To remove it, simply disconnect the battery and remove these four bolts. Usually, the ECU, which is the brain of our car, does not require periodic maintenance, but it would be a good idea to have it diagnosed periodically by a specialized technician to avoid facing problems. It is possible to make modifications to our ECU, such as installing a chip tuning, for example, but it is important to know how the ECU could react to these modifications.
