How to replace the steering wheel airbag of the Peugeot 207

Replacing the airbag on a Peugeot 207 vehicle is a fairly simple operation to perform independently, taking the necessary precautions. Before removing the airbag, it is necessary to disconnect the vehicle's battery in order to prevent it from activating during the replacement operation, thus damaging the vehicle and the person performing the operation. After disconnecting the battery, get into the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to a vertical position, insert a flat-tipped screwdriver into the side hole and move the screwdriver inside the hole to activate the lever that will push the central body of the steering wheel outward. Remove the central body and disconnect the connector to deactivate the airbag. At this point, insert a new central body into the steering wheel and connect the connector. Reconnect the battery and start the vehicle to test that the assembly has been done correctly. It may happen that the airbag light flashes for a few seconds and then turns off, if not, further maintenance is required.
