Peugeot 207 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 207 MK 1 - Years 2006-2015
Part: Steering wheel
Operation: Removal instructions Peugeot 207 light switch

If you have to disassemble the light switch, that is the controls for the arrows, lights and wiper blades, you must first remove the steering wheel and then the airbag; before proceeding with the disassembly, it is advisable to disconnect the battery to avoid the lighting of any warning lights or the accidental detonation of the airbag itself; therefore start by disconnecting the battery pole and then intercept the holes present behind the spokes of the steering wheel through which to insert a screwdriver and lever to release the springs that secure the airbag to the spokes of the steering wheel itself; then remove the airbag just enough to disconnect its sockets by first pulling out the safety catches; at this point unscrew the steering wheel fixing pin and remove it from the steering column axis (there is a reference notch for centering) and then remove the plastic shells that cover the light switch, disconnect the sockets and loosen the pin of the metal clamp that fixes the light switch to the steering barrel to complete the disassembly, taking care to avoid accidental rotations that could damage the band of the antagonist ring.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
