Oil and Filter Change for Peugeot 208 MK1 Diesel

In this video, learn how to change the engine oil and filter on a Peugeot 208 MK1 diesel: open the bonnet and remove the oil filler cap; it is advisable to use a cleaner to help thoroughly clean the oil sump and the entire system; start the engine for five minutes to warm the oil slightly, add the cleaner, and let it sit for a quarter of an hour. Then, proceed with the oil change by lifting the front of the vehicle; remove the oil drain plug and let the oil drain into a suitable container, which will also be used to drain the oil from the filter. To access the filter, you need to remove some parts from the top of the bonnet, including the air intake hose; the filter is located just underneath and can be unscrewed with the help of an extension. Use a screwdriver to remove the filter from the housing along with the rubber o-ring. Clean the surfaces with a suitable cleaner and absorbent paper. Now, place the new gasket, lubricating it with clean oil, and then position the new filter inside the housing. Refit it in place and then reattach the air intake hose. Close the oil drain hole with a new plug and a new gasket, and refill the oil through the upper cap, adhering to the manufacturer's specifications, filling it to 90%. Measure with the dipstick and check the level, adjusting if necessary. Operation complete.
