How to Change Engine Oil and Filter on a Peugeot 208

To change the oil and filter on a Peugeot 208, start by parking the car on a stable surface and leaving the engine slightly warm. Safely lift the vehicle and prepare a container to collect the used oil under the sump. Unscrew the filler cap in the engine compartment and then remove the drain bolt located at the bottom, allowing the used oil to flow out completely. When the draining is finished, reinstall the cap. Next, move to the oil filter: unscrew and remove it, and install the new element after lightly oiling the seal. Screw the filter on until it is properly tightened. Pour the new oil through the upper filler neck, respecting the quantity specified by the manufacturer. Check the level with the dipstick and add oil if necessary. Finally, start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and check for any leaks around the filter and drain plug.
