Replacement of the Rear Brake Disc Bearing and Support Plate

Remove the rear wheel of the car and detach the brake caliper. Unscrew the bolts securing the caliper and support it in a way that does not excessively strain the brake fluid hoses, which could be damaged. Once the caliper is removed, take off the disc: after removing the screws, disconnect the handbrake as the disc hub also serves as a drum for the handbrake shoes. After extracting the disc, remove the shoes and the springs holding them in place. At this point, remove the hub cap with a screwdriver and unscrew the nut, having flattened the notch to prevent it from unscrewing, using a screwdriver and a hammer. Using a puller, detach the hub bearing, freeing it from the brake hoses and caliper. Now, it is necessary to clean the mounting surface with a solvent, paying particular attention to the ABS sensor. After blowing away any residual impurities with a compressor, refit the bearing. After tightening the nut, create a new notch on the nut to ensure it is secured. Now, with the hub cap refitted, you can reassemble the braking system.
