Operation: How to replace the Peugeot 2008 engine oil filter

The guide shows you how to change the filter and oil of the machine's engine. First, open the hood and unscrew the fluid filler cap, then lift the vehicle and make sure the vehicle is stable. With a hex wrench you have to unscrew the cap of the oil tank and drain the fluid into a container. Wait for the tank to empty completely and, using the wrench to remove the filters, unscrew the filter located next to the oil tank. Be careful during this step as oil could escape from the filter housing. After removing the old filter, drain the residues of the lubricant. Clean the filter housing from any residual fluid and, after lubricating the o-ring (gasket) of the new filter with a little engine oil, screw the new piece back on to the specified torque. Refit the tank cap (to the specified torque) and clean the oil residue. After lowering the vehicle, from the engine compartment, fill the tank with new oil (check the type of lubricant in the manual) and check the level with the dipstick. Enter the passenger compartment and reset the service indicator. To carry out this operation, hold down the â € œ000â € button (on the control panel) and turn on the instrument panel; wait for the display to count down and show the successful initialization message and turn off the ignition. Start the engine for a few minutes in order to let the oil circulate; switch off the engine and check, using the dipstick, the quantity of fluid (it must be at the maximum level). Check for any leaks. At this point, the operation is completed. The tools required are: - 8mm hex wrench; - Tool for removing filters.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
