The timing system of an engine refers to all the mechanical parts that control the intake and exhaust phases of gases in synchronisation with the rotation of the crankshaft and thus the movement of the pistons. To change the timing belt kit, raise the car and remove the wheel. To access the timing belt, remove the accessory belt and synchronise the marks, detach the tensioner rollers, and then remove the belt. Remove the water pump from the timing system and proceed to install the new timing belt kit.
