Replacement of the Rear Suspension Link

Model: Peugeot 406 MK 1 - Years 1995-2005

If the rear suspension link fails, the wheel will tend to have play that could eventually damage the hub bearing. To confirm this, lift the vehicle on a suitable car stand and move the wheel perpendicular to the direction of travel. Before proceeding with disassembly, mark the position of the head of the fixing pin of the link's eye as it is an eccentric pin that affects the camber of the wheel. Then, remove the fixing pin of the link and the one connecting to the wheel hub, take out the old link, and install the new one using a new fixing pin, ensuring to orient the head as previously marked.
