How do you replace the dead battery in a Porsche 911 key? Let's see how to do it: Take your remote and use a screwdriver to pry between the key and the cover until the two halves separate. Remove the worn-out battery found inside with a screwdriver.

Take a new battery of the same size and voltage and insert it into the housing. Reattach the cover on the key remote until you hear it click into place.

Check the remote's proper operation by testing the door lock and unlock buttons.
