Let's see how to remove the starter motor on a Porsche 911. To begin with, we disconnect the cables from the car battery power supply with a socket wrench. We lift the car on a column bridge, then remove (with a socket wrench and pliers) the soundproofing panel of the engine with attached cables. We disconnect the terminals of the starter motor power supply with pliers or screwdriver depending on the pressure of the tabs, unscrew the locking pins of the starter motor with a socket wrench and remove the same from the engine compartment. Finally we assemble the new ignition motor with the power supply cables and with the attached tightening screws. Porsche 911.
