In this video, we see where the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the Renault Captur is located. We need to open the rear hatch and lift the carpet covering the trunk compartment.

In this particular model, we do not have a spare tire, even though the bottom of the trunk is shaped as if it should contain one. If we lift the mat covering the "wheel" circle, we find a raised rectangular part of the bodywork where the VIN composed of 17 digits is stamped.

We also find this same number - which is not the legal number - also on the metal label located on the driver's door pillar and on the driver's side dashboard, as well as in the registration document, section 2 letter E).

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
