How to replace the timing belt of the Renault Modus.

Replacing the timing belt on a Renault Modus is a task that can be done independently, thanks to our short video tutorial. To carry out the timing belt replacement, we need to open the front hood and remove the engine cover; then, for added convenience, we remove the right front wheel and lift the vehicle onto jack stands. Using a T25 wrench, we unscrew the nut that secures the tensioner pulley to release it and slide off the belt. We insert the new timing belt onto the roller and screw the nut back on. We start the vehicle to make the belt rotate; it is important to apply grease to it beforehand to prevent damage. We reattach the engine cover, put the wheel back on, and lower the vehicle to the ground.
