How to Remove and Refit the Alternator on a Renault Trafic

To remove the alternator from your Renault Trafic, proceed as follows: Gather the necessary tools for disassembly and reassembly (screwdriver, drill driver, socket spanner, new alternator). Start by lifting the bonnet of the car, disconnect the battery cables, and remove the front cover by unscrewing all the screws. Take off the front protection panel by unscrewing the bolts that hold it in place, and remove the intercooler from its location. When you reach the alternator, use a bolt removal tool to take out all the bolts securing it. Use a pry bar to detach it from its position and pull it out. Replace it with the functioning alternator, secure it with the bolts, reconnect the cable with the plug, ensure the belt is correctly positioned, and perform a test before starting the engine. Reverse the process to reassemble all parts. Reconnect the battery cables. Start the engine and check that it operates correctly.
