How to replace rear brake discs on Renault Megane II
Model: Renault Megane
Megane 2
- Years 2002-2010
Let's see how to replace the rear brake discs on the Renault Megane II: first we need to open the front hood and open the brake fluid cap. We loosen the rear wheel bolts and then lift the car, leaning it on jack stands to make sure it doesn't fall over. We then put the removed tire under the car for safety. Now with a metal brush we clean the brake caliper. We also give it a splash of WD-40. We unscrew the attachment of the caliper and remove it, attaching it with a wire to the suspension or bodywork (not to the brake hose), without disconnecting it, in order to avoid depressurization of the system. Never press the brake pedal at this time, as the plunger could fall out of the brake cylinder, causing serious damage. Remove the brake pads, then clean the fasteners with WD-40. Unscrew the brake caliper mount and remove the bracket. By levering we remove the hub cup from the wheel, then we unscrew the hub fixing nut. Now we can remove the brake disc and install the new one, screwing the fixing nut with a torque wrench. Where the hub touches the brake disc we will use a multi purpose grease. With a rubber mallet we will install the hub nut cover. We will clean the brake caliper holder of dirt and dust before putting it back in place. Now we put the caliper holder in place with a torque wrench, press the brake caliper piston with a disc brake piston wind back tool. We put the pads in their place and then we mount the caliper using a torque wrench. Now we can press the brake pedal until we feel significant resistance. The surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim should be treated with copper grease, while the disc surface should be treated with a special cleaner. We can reassemble the wheels and replace the brake fluid cap. Operation finished.

How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Golf
To perform this simple operation, first lift the bonnet. Then, remove the upper engine cover and the plastic side cover that protects the timing belt. To create more space for the job, you can remove components next to the engine, such as the coolant reservoir, the windscreen washer pipe, and the fuel filter. This will allow you to remove the lower engine cover and the right wheel for better access to the area where you will be working. Now, relieve the tension from the tensioner pulley and remove the belt for replacement. by ScegliAuto More videos
