Model: Renault Scenic MK 2, Scenic 2 - Years 2003-2009
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: Replacement of front shock absorbers

The need to equip oneself with special clamps to squeeze the springs just enough to extract the damper is immediately pointed out; having said this, lift the car on the bridge and remove the front wheel, disconnect the cable glands and the connecting rod from the shock absorber; extract the head of the steering box tie rod from the hub support, unscrew the shock absorber fixing pins and release it from the same support; lower the car and access the engine compartment, remove the plastic covering grille located under the windscreen, also removing the wiper blades and the relative drive mechanism; at this point unscrew the fixing nuts of the shock absorber support and extract it from its seat; squeeze the spring and remove the support from the stem; apply the bellows, the spring and the support to the new shock absorber and proceed backwards to install them on board the car.
