In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the starter motor on the Renault Megane, a straightforward operation but one that requires good manual skills. First, ensure that the key is not inserted, then open the bonnet, disconnect both battery terminals, and remove the battery.

Next, disconnect the air filter box collector, unscrew the four indicated bolts, and separate the throttle body from the engine. At this point, disconnect the power leads to the starter motor, unscrew the corresponding fixing bolts, and remove the unit from its housing.

To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
