How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Seat Ateca

Learn how to replace the fuel filter on a 2020 Seat Ateca. Open the bonnet and place rags around the filter inlet, then remove the 5 T25 Torx screws from the cover. Gently pry off the cover with a flat screwdriver, then siphon out the dirty fuel with a syringe and dispose of it in a container; you will dispose of it along with the filter at an authorised centre. Remove the old filter and let any residual fuel drain out. If there is dirt at the bottom, dry and clean the inlet thoroughly using lint-free paper. Fit the new filter (which you can find at auto-doc.it with EAN code 2230140122900 for £25.49 + £9.95 shipping) by positioning and reinserting the cover, securing it in the centre. Tighten the 5 screws. Now we need to connect to the VDCS: go to "select module"/"01 engine"/"04 basic settings". Look for the IDE00459 fuel pump control/pump supply, and start the procedure with the "go" button. Listen to the pump: when the sound changes (no more air bubbles), stop it. Check for leaks and ensure all rags are removed from the engine.
