In this video tutorial, learn how to disassemble and replace the alternator on the Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI, following the instructions below. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the battery; then lift the vehicle and remove the lower engine cover by unscrewing all the screws, as shown in the video. Next, remove the front right wheel and also take out the wheel arch liner; now disconnect and remove the alternator belt by loosening the tensioner with a socket spanner. Finally, unscrew the bolts of the alternator and replace it with the new one!
