In this video tutorial we will see how to disassemble and replace the alternator of the Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI, following the instructions below. First we open the engine hood and start disconnecting our battery; then we raise the car and remove the lower engine panel, unscrewing all the screws, as shown in the video. At this point we remove the right front wheel and also remove the wheel arch; now we are going to disconnect and remove the alternator belt, loosening the belt tensioner with a star wrench. Finally we unscrew the alternator screws, replacing it with the new one!
