Smart - Video tutorial
Model: Smart Smart
454, Fourfour1
- Years 2004-2006 Before we can begin, we will have to open the rear engine hood, located under the luggage compartment of our Smart ForTwo. So let's start by disassembling the battery, simply by disconnecting the two poles and unscrewing the bolts of the support brackets. After that, we will have to disassemble the air filter block, unscrewing the screws and disconnecting the relative sleeves. By doing so, we will have reached the starter motor. We then proceed by disconnecting the relative electrical connector, then unscrew and remove the bolts, and we will have freed the starter motor. When we have completed this step, we will be able to remove the motor, and we will have finished the disassembly.

Passenger cars of the latest generation have an additional tank for this additive. The filler cap is located next to the diesel fuel filler cap and is usually blue. When the additive level falls below a preset value, the indication appears on the control panel display that it is necessary to top up the AdBlue otherwise, within a certain number of km it will no longer be possible to start the engine.
