See how to reset the service light on a Subaru Outback with a multimedia system featuring a touchscreen. Turn on the car without starting the engine, then go to the main screen and tap the 'maintenance' icon.

Select the specific options: 'oil' for engine oil and 'oil filter'. A screen will open to set the new mileage interval; you can also set a time limit. After entering the values, tap 'ok' to confirm, and the light will reset immediately.

Repeat the same procedure for the oil filter. This is not an oil level sensor, but a programmable reminder based on time and/or mileage.
