Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Subaru Forester SG, MK 2 - Years 2002-2008

Loosen the wheel fastening bolts without removing them before lifting the vehicle with the jack; after lifting it, apply a suitable axle stand and complete the wheel removal; then remove the fastening bolts of the shock absorber stem from the wheel hub and extract them using a drift; next, disconnect the brake line and speed sensor cable clips and move to the engine bay to remove the fastening bolts of the shock absorber mount from the chassis strut. At this point, you can extract the shock absorber from its seat and proceed with the possible removal of the mount and spring to install a new shock absorber.
