Instructions for Removing the Driver's Airbag

Before proceeding with the removal of the airbag, disconnect the battery to avoid accidental detonations or the illumination of warning lights. Locate the holes behind the spokes of the steering wheel to access the screws securing the airbag.

Move the airbag away from its housing enough to have sufficient manoeuvring space and disconnect the relevant connectors by first opening the securing clips and then extracting the connectors themselves. Also disconnect the horn connector.

This operation is very simple compared to models where the airbag is secured with special springs.
