Replacing Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Toyota Corolla MK 2 - Years 2000-2007

Remove the wheel and carefully detach the caliper by removing the two retaining bolts with a ratchet spanner. Disconnect the brake fluid line that supplies the piston. Remove the worn brake pads and replace them with two new ones of the same type. Before installation, clean any dirt with a brush. Refit the bracket, cleaning and lubricating the fixing bolts, then tighten them using a spanner. Refit the caliper. The pad with the electrical contacts must be fitted facing inwards, ensuring it aligns with the direction of travel. Realign the piston by pushing it inwards and check the adhesion of the pads to the disc.
