Removing the fuel pump from a Toyota Rav 4? Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seats of the car. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap, and remove it from its housing, using absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any fluid leaks. Unscrew the large securing nut of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its housing along with any attached parts. Finally, install the new fuel pump.
