Changing the Alternator on a Toyota Avensis

How to replace the alternator on a Toyota Avensis? Start by removing the car battery from its designated compartment, then lift the bonnet. Unscrew the bolts with a socket spanner, being careful not to damage the electrical cables, and unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once disassembly is complete, you can pull the unit out of the engine bay (remove the belt). Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Refit the battery in its compartment and reconnect the electrical terminals.
