How to replace the alternator on a Toyota Avensis? Let's remove the car battery from inside the dedicated compartment to start, then lift the front hood. We unscrew the pins with a socket wrench, being careful not to damage the electrical cables, we unscrew all the clamping pins of the alternator. Once the disassembly is finished, we can pull the piece out of the engine compartment (we remove the belt). Now we take the new replacement part and insert it into the suitable housing, screw in the locking pins, then, tighten the side pins of the alternator. We mount the battery inside the dedicated compartment and connect the electrical terminals.
