How to Remove the Radio from the Toyota 4Runner

Before discovering how to properly remove the radio from the Toyota 4Runner, ensure that the vehicle's engine is off and the battery is disconnected. This eliminates any risk from electrical current or potential overheating. Next, remove the two plastic side covers by pulling them towards you. Do the same with the entire air conditioning control panel, using a flat screwdriver (or similar tools) for assistance. Disconnect the electrical pin present. Now take a 10 mm wrench and remove the screws that hold the entire radio in place. Once done, pull the entire component towards you and disconnect it from the connector, then connect the new radio to this connector. Reinstall the screws you previously removed and reposition all the various components you took off earlier. Finally, reconnect the vehicle's battery.
