Engine Air Filter Replacement

Model: Toyota Avensis MK 1, T220 - Years 1997-2003

The engine air filter box (airbox) is located just behind the battery: unclip the metal tabs securing the cover and remove it to extract the old filter (it is advisable to disconnect the air mass meter hose). Once the old filter is removed, ensure there are no dirt residues inside the box (remove them with a vacuum cleaner if necessary to prevent them from entering the intake) and insert the new filter, ensuring the seal fits correctly against the edges. At this point, reposition the cover and secure it by closing the metal tabs.
