Battery Replacement Instructions

Model: Toyota Avensis MK 1, T220 - Years 1997-2003

The battery is generally located in the engine bay (in some cars, it is placed in the boot - like many BMWs - or even under the passenger side scuff plate - like in Mercedes). In the case of the vehicle in question, it is located right in front of the air filter housing. First, disconnect the negative terminal, then the positive terminal, and finally the mounting bracket at the bottom. Once the battery is freed, remove it from its seat and replace it with a new one, reversing the process, ensuring compatibility in terms of size, terminal position, and especially capacity and cranking power.
