The complete engine oil change on Toyota vehicles should be performed every 12,000 miles or once a year, and the service light reminds you when it's time to do it. Gather all necessary supplies, including a new oil filter, and lift the car on jack stands before starting. Locate the oil pan and, after positioning a drain pan underneath, unscrew the plug to let the old oil drain out. Meanwhile, work on the filter: remove the cover and take it out. Replace it with the new one, ensuring to change the gaskets as well, and reinstall it in its place. Finally, replace the oil pan plug and move to the front hood to add the new oil.
