Here are the main instructions on how to disassemble and replace the piston rings on the engine of the Toyota Hilux 2.7 liters. First, remove the entire engine block from the engine compartment to work on it at a bench; then remove the valve cover and subsequently the cylinder head by unscrewing the fastening bolts, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the pistons by disconnecting them from the connecting rods; take off the old piston rings and replace them with new ones, ensuring to follow the correct installation order (the different rings have distinct functions).
