How to get rid of the mold smell from your car's air conditioner

There is nothing more unpleasant than the smell of mold that you begin to notice inside your car after a summer trip, maybe a bit long. The problem is related to the air conditioning, and the evaporator, where water accumulates. If this remains still long enough, mold can form, of which we will smell the odor inside the cabin. There is a simple method to solve this problem. Turn on the fan at the lowest level, open the window and have a specific air conditioning disinfectant on hand, which we can easily find in an auto parts store, and spray it inside the heating system through the grille at the base of the windshield; in this way we will spread the disinfectant throughout the system; if this does not solve the problem, then change the cabin air filter: among our tutorials we will surely find the one suitable for our car: it is a very simple operation. Always remember to turn off the air conditioning when we leave the car; the fan will continue to work and eliminate some of the humidity, preventing mold formation.
