What to do when the ABS light is on

This video shows us what to do when the ABS light in our car is on: this means that if we need to make a sudden stop, the wheels of our car could skid and we might not stop in time. The first thing to do is to check the fuse related to the ABS system in our car, using a simple test light device. If it is blown, replace it, if it is fine, proceed to the next step. Cars that use ABS have a speed sensor mounted on them, and they monitor rotation through a relay mounted on the CV joint of the brake rotor, or on the rear axle. We must slowly rotate the ring to check for any damage or missing teeth, and then each sensor must be tested using a voltmeter - a device that we can easily purchase on e-commerce sites for a few euros - set to AC voltage, slowly rotating the hub: if no readings are generated, the sensor is faulty. However, the most common failure is the controller itself, which is the computer of the pump engine, controlling each of the four wheels. With the key off, if we still hear the pump running, it means that the pump relay is faulty and the module needs to be replaced. If despite everything the light is still on, then the problem lies in the wiring and must be diagnosed by a specialized workshop.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
