Replace Engine Oil in Your Car

How to replace the engine oil in your car? Let’s look at the oil and filter replacement. Lift the front bonnet of the car and secure it, then locate the oil filter (if present in the engine bay). Unscrew the filter located in the engine bay or underneath the vehicle. Raise the car on a column lift or jack, then use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolt of the oil sump (after removing the plastic protective panel), allowing the fluid to drain into a disposal container and refit the sump bolt. After removing the oil from the engine, lower the car and top up the engine with new oil.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after.
