How to replace the engine oil in your car? Let’s look at the oil and filter replacement. Lift the front bonnet of the car and secure it, then locate the oil filter (if present in the engine bay). Unscrew the filter located in the engine bay or underneath the vehicle.

Raise the car on a column lift or jack, then use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolt of the oil sump (after removing the plastic protective panel), allowing the fluid to drain into a disposal container and refit the sump bolt. After removing the oil from the engine, lower the car and top up the engine with new oil.
