How to Change the Car Oil

How do you change the engine oil in your car? Here’s how to change the oil and filter in the car. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located, extract the worn oil filter, and position a new one. Remove the filter under the engine compartment if it is located there. Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the bolt of the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Refill with new oil after maintenance.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
