How do you remove the fuel pump from the tank? Let's see how to take out the pump and replace it. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions to access the fuel tank. If there is no access from inside the cabin, remove the tank from underneath the vehicle. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap (if present), remove it from its seat, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses from above the pump. Finally, extract the fuel pump from the tank. Install the new pump inside the vehicle's fuel tank.
