How to Drain the Fuel Tank of Your Car Using a Jumper Wire

This guide shows how to drain the fuel tank of your car using a jumper wire on the fuel pump control circuit. First, disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal. Next, replace the fuel line from the fuel filter, located in the engine bay, with a line that reaches a container. Plug the line going to the engine with a 7 mm pipe cap. From the fuse box, locate the fuel pump relay, remove it, and bridge the two terminals of the pump control with electrical wire or a paperclip. Reconnect the battery and wait for the tank to drain completely.
