Operation: What does the red battery light mean

When you see the red battery light on your vehicle, the problem isn't a dead battery, as it might seem. Your car is reporting that the battery is not recharging. So all the electronics in the car are working with just the accumulator, which is the battery, and the alternator that should power it doesn't work, or the power belt has snapped. What you need to do is take a look at the engine. If the belt is still there then it means that the problem is really the alternator. If the belt has snapped, then you need to replace the belt. The V-belt only makes the alternator functional, while the larger ones are multifunctional and if it doesn't make the alternator work, most likely it doesn't even make the power steering or climate control work. If this were the problem, you could try or find a mechanic or a spare parts dealer and look for an elastic belt for your car, so that you can change it even without tools. Or you can try to get to your destination on battery power. But this depends on the efficiency of the battery itself, and also on the type of car we have. A recent car uses a lot of electronics and therefore will need much more current than an older car.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
